On June 19, 2025, we warmly invite architects and professionals to the ICG Gallery for an exclusive evening seminar focusing on innovative and sustainable architectural practices through the reuse of building materials.
The seminar will be led by Dipl.-Ing. Jannes Wurps, Architect BDA from blrm Hamburg, and is officially recognized by the AK-Berlin (Berlin Chamber of Architects) as a continuing education seminar.
Set within the context of an ambitious urban development in Darmstadt’s Verlegerviertel, the event presents a pioneering pilot project: a multifunctional building that integrates a kindergarten, youth center, and social services, built entirely from reclaimed materials — including components of the original structure on site.
This project illustrates how architectural design can be shaped by available resources, enabling environmentally responsible, expressive, and socially impactful buildings. It highlights material reuse as both an ecological imperative and a creative design strategy.
