On 12 November, the ICG Gallery on Old Street will welcome Winter Alchemy, a convivial moment to embrace the winter season together.
During the evening, guests will have the chance to admire the illustration created by artist Jessica Rose Bird for the two gallery windows.
The artwork, featuring her distinctive style that mixes charcoal-like linework with painting, evokes fashion and contemporary flair: an arctic fox “that changes its coat with the seasons, moving through a city and a landscape in transition. A moonlit city transformed by falling snow, while traditional festive stars and bright red winter flowers warm the heart of the season,” the artist explains.
Winter Alchemy is part of the namesake project developed for the winter holidays across all European ICG Galleries: Milan, Paris, London, Berlin and Marbella come together to create a magical journey that metaphorically turns showroom windows into gold. Five international female artists have been invited to express — each with her own language and artistic style — the concept of The Magical Journey, interpreting the spirit of the festive season through the theme of alchemical transformation.
