On 10 December, the ICG Gallery in Via Santa Margherita 4 will host Winter Alchemy, a convivial event to welcome in the winter season together.
With hot drinks, spicy fragrances and tiny delights, it is an opportunity to get together for a chat and enjoy the relaxed holiday atmosphere.
During the evening event, guests will have the chance to admire the illustration created – as part of the Winter Alchemy project – by the artist Joanne Elizabeth Shipp for the showroom window.
The work is marked by her very recognisable style: a thick composition of micro-drawings, sketches, icons and symbols that create a landscape steeped in meaning.
Born in the United Kingdom and graduating with honours from the University of London, with a specialisation in printed fabrics, Joanne Elizabeth Shipp has lived near Lake Como since 1992. A professional designer, she has worked with many brands, displaying her works in galleries and exhibitions in London, Milan, Geneva, Como, Monaco, Courmayeur and Bormio. Among her most important projects, an exclusive collection of scarves for the Mandarin Oriental Lago in Como and Milan.
Today she creates custom works of art and performs live interactive painting sessions at events and experiences, working with event organisers, luxury hotels and international businesses.
